Baby...or pikachu?
Emma loves to look at herself in the mirror. She just recently discovered that it's her, and that when she moves, the image in the mirror moves too. When we go shopping, she giggles when she can see her reflection in the windows.As far as the hair goes, well, I couldn't resist! I thought, "there's enough hair there, I bet I could make piggies!" Of course, Emma wouldn't tolerate any tugging without a fight, but it was worth it!
Emma le encanta verse en el espejo. Descubrio que si es ella, y cuando mueva ella, mueva el imagen en el espejo. Cuando vamos de compras, sonrie cuando se ve su reflection en las ventanas.
Y el pelo, bueno, tenia que hacer algo, porque ya tiene bastante pelo atras, no? Emma lucho cuando lo hize, pero valia la pena, porque esta bien chula!!

Emma's first Thanksgiving was a big hit! She ate lots of turkey: plain turkey, turkey soup, turkey sandwiches. I spent a Thursday and Friday in the kitchen all day, but it was fun. Emma and her pap did a lot of playing this long weekend. She is clapping her hands together now, which is so cute! She does it when we sing, "if you're happy and you know it..." and also when she's really happy. Saturday mom needed a break, so pap took his girls out to Texas Roadhouse (yummy!). We are all dressed up because we got our first family pictures taken earlier that day.
Fue el primer dia de gracias para Emma el 22. Comimos mucho pavo: pavo solo, sopa de pavo, sandwich de pavo. Yo estaba en la cocina todo el dia jueves y viernes, pero fue divertido. Emma y papi tenian mucho tiempo juntos para jugar. Emma aplaude cuando decimos "bravo" y cuando cantamos un cancion sobre el aplaude en ingles y tambien cuando esta muy feliz. Sabado Emmanuel nos traje a un restaurante para comer, para un descanso de la casa y de la cocina. Fuimos a Texas Roadhouse (mmm que rico!). Estamos de vestido y traje porque nos tomaron fotos de la familia para la Navidad antes de esto.
Early Thanksgiving Visit to NY 1
Un dia de gracias temprano en nueva york
We went to NY for a week to visit with family, especially with my grandpa Numbers (in the 3rd picture) who has been in and out of the hospital for the past few months. Emma had a really terrific time visiting with all her aunts, uncle Nick, and grandmas and grandpas! She was sick with an ear infection most of the time, but being around all those new people who loved her so much kept her very distracted. She was a real trooper putting up with all of the traveling and environment changes we put her through. We are sure lucky to have such an easy-going kid! She's super!
Fuimos a nueva york para visitar con la familia, en particular con mi abuelo Numbers (en la tercera foto) quien tiene meses hospitalizado. !Emma disfruto mucho visitando con sus tias, tio Nick, y todos los abuelos! Estaba enferma con infecion del oido, pero se porto muy bien por todos los distraciones de la familia tratando de jugar con ella. Tenemos mucha suerte tener una hija tan linda y que se porta tan buena!

Emma was Nemo the fish from the movie "Finding Nemo". We borrowed the costume from Chad and Lana so we could take Emma trick or treating. She really enjoyed the wagon ride and the attention from the people giving out candy. We only went to about a dozen houses, and we ended up with about 8 cups of candy! The people in San Antonio are generous! It was fun for all of us. Emmanuel and I took turns taking her up to each house, and then she rode in the Martinez' wagon when we went to the next street. We finished just in time for Emma to go home, drink her bottle, go to sleep, and let mom and pap eat all the candy!
Emma fue Nemo el pez de "Buscando Nemo" la pelicula de Disney. Algunos amigos nos prestaban el disfraz para que podriamos llevar a Emma "trick or treating" (donde los ninos disfrazados piden dulces de cada casa que tienen las luces prendidas.) Fuimos a 15 casas, y conseguimos casi 8 tazas de dulces! La gente de San Antonio son generosos. Fue divertido para todos. Emmanuel y yo cambiamos de toca en cargar a Emma a cada casa, y desfruto del vagon cuando teniamos que cambiar calle. Acababamos en tiempo para que Emma podia ir a casa, tragar mamilla, acostarse, y deja que mami y papi coman los dulces!
