I think Emma is teething. She got up 3 times last night!! It was like her newborn days. In the past couple days she's been really adamant about having something in her mouth at all times. I don't see any teeth yet, but I read that they can have teething symptoms up to 3 months before the tooth appears. She's also been batting at her ear, which I also heard was a symptom of teething. I hope she doesn't have an ear infection though.

On a funnier note, she's officially discovered her hands and her feet. She holds her hand out in front of her, looks at it, rotates it, opens and closes her fingers, then gets distracted and stops, only to do it again the next time she catches a glimpse of her hand.

The other thing she's been doing is that she scoots down from where ever she's sitting so that she can grab her feet. She's been working very hard at grabbing them. She also likes to use them as hands. For example, when she's in the play gym, she'll try to grab a toy with her hands and feet at the same time. Then once she sees her feet, her attention gets diverted to them, and the object is to get her feet, not the toy. She's a real "hoot" as they say here in TX.
