Emma had a rough week last week. She has been sick since Mon. 8/13. Each day got a little worse until last Sunday 8/19. As you can see in the photos, she had a serious reaction to whatever she had (doctors said first it was a virus, but later an infection) and her skin was a mess. Friday and Saturday were her worst days (and nights) when she would wake every few minutes crying.
Yesterday she was finally like our old Emma. It made me so happy to be playing with her and to have her smile and laugh again. The missionaries helped Emmanuel bless Emma to get well on Saturday night, and we believe that her body fought off whatever she had because of that blessing. We are so lucky to have the priesthood on the earth for times like these. Who knows how serious is would have gotten. Emma went to the grocery store with me last night and really enjoyed it. It was the first time she had been out the the house in a week (besides going to the doctor's) and we had a good time looking at the bananas and lettuces and mangoes at HEB. She loves to get others' attention when we are out so that they talk to her.
Even though she was set back a week, Emma is almost crawling. She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. She is also pulling herself up. She did it while she was seated in the laundry basket :-) I guess she wanted out?!
The pictures are posted newest to oldest. The ones in the laundry basket are from yesterday, and they get older to when she was really sick on Saturday.
Emma ha estado enferma desde lunes 8/13. Cada dia fue peor hasta el domingo, 8/19. Como puedes ver en las fotos, tuvo ella una reaccion muy grave del piel a lo que tenia. Los doctores digan que primero fue virus, y luego fue infecion. El viernes y sabado fueron los dias y noches peores para ella cuando se desperto cada 2-3 minutos llorando muy fuerte.
Ayer regreso la Emma feliz y normal. Fue un placer a verla sonriendose como siempre. Desde que los misioneros ayudo a Emmanuel a bendecir a Emma con salud, las cosas estaban mejorando. Sabemos Emmanuel y you que fue la bendicion que nos salvo nuestra hija. Y qye bendicion es a tener el sacerdocio aqui en la tierra para los tiempos asi cuando no tenemos poder los seres humanos para curar o aydar los inocentes.
Fuimos Emma y yo anoche para la primera vez de la casa a comprar comida. A ella le gustar ver las banana, mango y lechugas que tienen en el super. Tambien le gusta sacar la atencion de la gente para que les habla.
Aunque perdio una semana, Emma casi esta gateando. Unas dias mas yo creo y vamos a tener que limpiar y arreglar todo muy bien para que no coma algo mal. Tambien ella se jala para levantarse. Lo hizo en la cosa que lleva ropa. Quizas queria escapar?!
Las fotos son en orden de mas nuevo a mas viejo. Las con la lleva ropa son de ayer, y pues los con la cara feo son del sabado cuando estaba muy enferma.
Espero que todos sean muy seguros y que no les hice dano el huracan Dean. Estan en nuestros oraciones.
